NASA, Google Partner On R&D
NASA Ames Research Center and Google said this morning that the two have established a formal relationship to work on a range of technical problems. Google and Ames will focus on large-scale data management, massively distributed computing, and human-computer interfaces. Google and Ames said they will focus on making the most useful of NASA's information available on the internet, including real-time weather visualization; high resolution 3-D maps of the moon and Mars, real-time tracking of the International Space Station, and the space shuttle.
