Cisco Buys SpansLogic

San Jose-based Cisco Systems said today that it is acquiring Mountain View-based SpansLogic, a provider of packet processing semiconductors. Financial terms were not disclosed. SpansLogic's products are used to improve packet processing speed of network trafffic. SpanLogic has 14 employees who will be joining Cisco's DataCenter Business Unit.
