Google Opens Print Ads
Mountain View-based Google said today that it has opened up its Google Print Ads program, and has begun accepting advertisers with Google AdWords accounts. The firm, which started the program with a test that included 50 newspapers in November, said that it now has more than 225 newspapers in the program. Google's Print Ad program allows advertisers to place ads in national and local newspapers, and allows advertisers to set bid prices which are accepted or rejected by those newspapers. Among papers included in Google's program are the Washington Post and New York Times.
