Photonera Acquires French Manufacturer

Sunnyvale-based Photonera, a maker of optical subassemblies for high-speed applications, announced Wednesday that it has acquired a French manufacturer of high-speed optical modules. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Photonera identified its new property as Intexys Photonics, which was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in the southern French town of Toulouse. Photonera said it will acquire all assets and intellectual property needed to maintain and expand the business and its existing product line. Photonera added that it will retain key Intexys employees in order to continue serving that firm's current clientele.
