Sigma Designs Completes CopperGate Buy

Milpitas-based Sigma Designs said Thursday afternoon that it has completed its acquisition of CopperGate Communications. The deal was worth $116M in cash plus 3.9 million shares of Sigma's common stock. CopperGate Communication is a developer of semiconductors for the home networking market. Sigma develops systems-on-a-chip for the same market.
