Cisco Acquires Cloupia

San Jose-based Cisco announced this morning that it is buying Santa Clara software firm Cloupia. Cicsco said it will pay approximately $125M in cash plus retention-based incentives for Cloupia, which becomes part of its Data Center Group. Cloupia's software is used for automation of data center infrastructure, helping customers deploy and configure both physical and virtual resources from a single management console.
