Cognitive Networks Lands $14.5M For Automated Content Metadata

San Francisco-based Cognitive Networks, which develops software which automatically recognized content in television streams--and uses that for smart TV applications--has raised $14.5M in a funding round. The Series B funding came from Hearst Ventures and two other un-named strategic partners, along with Rogers Venture Partners and DCM. Cognitive's software is used to provide contextually-relevant content running in synchronization with related television programming. The company is led by Michael Collette. More information »
