Equinix Completes Bit-isle Acquisition

Redwood City-based data center operator Equinix said Wednesday that it has completed its acquisition of Japanese data center operator Bit-isle. The deal had originally been announced in September. Equinix said the acquisition creates the fourth largest, data center operator in Japan, and now gives it a total of five data centers in Tokyo and one in Osaka. Equinix is paying $280M for Bit-isle.
