Bloomlife Gets $4M For Smart Pregnancy Wearable

San Francisco-based Bloomlife, a developer of a wearable device which lets women know if they are having a contraction during pregnancy, said Tuesday that it has has raised $4M in a seed funding round. The funding came from Marc Benioff and Efficient Capacity, LanzaTech Ventures, MeusInvest, Hanmi IT, The Chernin Group, Kapor Capital, and Act One Ventures. Bloomlife said it has created a clinicall validated sensor for measuring the health parameters of mom and baby from conception to birth. Bloomlife is led by Eric Dy. Bloomlife says on its website that its "Belli" wearable lets expecting moms know if they are having a contraction, "taking the guesswork out of pregnancy". More information »
